Dear Supporters and Donors…
Few days after our breakfasting (iftar) program completed, we, with your donation and support, continue with distribution of “zakat-ul-fitrah” –the special alms to mark the end of Ramadan.
We received more than £580.oo (116 persons) at £5.oo each. Alhamdulillah, this money enabled us to invite 180 poor people in a shanty area along the railway line in the City of Medan –the capital of North Sumatra Province—to receive 50,000.oo rupiahs (about £3.oo) each.
The payment ceremony took place in a mosque situated close to the railway– the mosque that is attended by the inhabitants for their daily prayers. IHSAN’s chairman, Mr Asyari Usman, was there to distribute the zakat fitrah in person while he’s spending his annual leave in the area.
All of the recipients of your zakat fitrah send you big thank for sending it to them at a time when financial difficulty was being felt so hard by them.
