Tasik Invest 2 - T-Shirt Production 2011

test

Ayesha Collection is a local T-shirt home industry that was established in 1980, but only in 2008 the management tried to relaunch its business by diversifying its production to include trainers product, shirts and light jackets. They wanted to increase production capacity by about 20% with one extra multi-functions sewing machine. This means that

two or three new jobs could be created.

So, they came to us with a proposal to get Rp12,000,000.oo funding to buy an “obras” sewing machine worth Rp4,500,000 and raw material worth Rp7,500,000.oo. We agreed to provide them with this fund in return for 30% share of net profit, and them being supervised by our volunteer on the ground in Tasikmalaya where this home industry located.

IHSAN Aid for Merapi 2010 - 3

test

Dear Donors & Supporters...

After the work of drying flooded homes in Kali Code burst, 29th November, our team of volunteers then continue their schedule to deliver packages of staple foods to 80 households that need them urgently. We do our best to prirotize those who don’t have any thing when they returned home from temporary shelters following the eruptions of Mount Merapi, starting October 26th 2010.

Our team has been roaming the villages to search for unregistered refugees (the displaced) who were most likely missed in the distribution of official assistence from local authorities. So, the team recorded their locations and carefully determined the rights persons to receive IHSAN’s packages of staple foods (sembako). That’s why the distribution of the packages has to be done gradually, and delivered to small numbers of refugees in some differrent and sub-district often apart far away from each other.

IHSAN Aid for Mentawai 2010

Praise be to Allah, Alhamdulillah, IHSAN’s emergency aid has been able to reach Sikakap –the main town in North Pagai Island (Pulau Pagai Utara)—about 200 kilometers from Padang, the capital of West Sumatra Province. Our men reached Sikakap on Friday, Oct 30.

Like what was happened to most of the volunteers trying to distribute emergency need to the tsunami survivors scattered in remote and ‘hard to reach’ areas in several different islands within the Mentawai Islands, our two experienced men have had to end their repeated failed attempts to get around. High seas, huge waves and storms condition was ‘perfected’ by lack of land route that has made everything ‘mission impossible’.
